About us

European Socio-Legal and Humanitarian Studies (ISSN 2734-8873 ISSN-L 2734-8873) is the official journal of the the Faculty of Humanities in Baia Mare (North University Centre of Baia Mare (Romania). It publishes articles in the field of humanitarian science, written in English, French, Spanish, German, or Italian, and book reviews, or evaluations of scholarly conferences. The journal publishes the results of scientific research and primary sources in philology, pedagogy, sociology, philosophy, history, political science, law, the dissemination of humanitarian knowledge, humanization and humanization of education.

European Socio-Legal and Humanitarian Studies contributes to the development of new interdisciplinary foundations of humanitarian research, the development of new approaches to humanization in an era of globalization, which aims to adapt the humanities and education to the new conditions of the information society, evolving into a “society of knowledge”.

Founded in 2019, under the name European Humanitarian Studies, with ISSN 2668-8425, the journal is the result of a partnership between the Faculty of Letters, Baia Mare and the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the National State University in Ujgorod.

In 2020, the journal changes its name to European Socio-legal and Humanitarian Studies, with the new ISSN 2734-8873.

Since its first publication in 2019, European Socio-Legal and Humanitarian Studies has had a semiannual publication.
